Veronika Alexander

Veronika is a PhD candidate in Economics. Her research interests include neuroeconomics, behavioral economics, game theory, and employee engagement. She is currently studying how physiology, economics, and psychology help explain and predict individual and group performance in organizations.


Laura Beavin

Laura is a 6th year student pursuing her PhD in Cognitive Psychology. Her research interest include behavioral genetics and neurochemicals associated with mate choice. She is also interested in the genetic and neural components of psychopathy.


Matthew McMahon

Matthew graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. He is currently a second year PhD student in the School of Politics and Economics at Claremont Graduate University. His interests include International Monetary Economics and Finance, Political Economy, and the Neuroeconomics of Micro-finance and International Development.



Elizabeth Terris

Elizabeth is a PhD Student in Applied Cognitive Psychology. Her research interests include the cognitive neuroscience with an emphasis on impulsivity and decision making.


Giti Zahedzadeh

Giti is a Ph.D. candidate interested in the neural and neurochemical basis of cognitive and emotional behavior including studies of trust, stress, cooperation, deception, and costly behavior. In addition, her interests pertain to how and to what extent unconscious neural computations influence ultimate conscious decisions. Her research crosses the boundaries between international relations, security and neuroscience.


Raya Majdani

Raya has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering-Biomechanics. Now she is working at the Neuroeconomics lab as a visiting scholar. She works on ECG signals, such as cleaning these in AcqKnowledge. Also, she assists with fitting participants with the scientific equipment (including ECG, EDA, RSP), in order to collect the data for experiments and projects in the lab. Now she is writing a script in Matlab to clean and analyze the ECG signals faster. Raya's interests include biomedical engineering, biomechanics, neuroeconomics, research, group work in the lab, experiments, and discovering new things.


Meghan Smith

Meghan is a PhD student in Positive Organizational Psychology. Her research interests include facial expressions and methods engineering, particularly with regard to the casino gaming industry.

Brian Lance

Brian is currently pursuing a Masters in Economics at Claremont Graduate University. He is interested in applying insights from neuroeconomics and behavioral economics to organizational behavior and product design.


Kenneth Pyle

Kenneth is a sixth year doctoral student in Economics & Political Science. His research interests include neuroeconomics, political economy, behavioral economics, and game theory, as well as ways to apply current research to organizations. Before returning to pursue his degree, he founded a beverage company and was a vice president in the music industry.


Saadullah Bashir

Saadullah is pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics. At the Lab, he is interested in examining how physiology, psychology, and ideology affect decision-making, as well as exploring the roles uncertainty and identity play in informing the decision-making process. Additionally, Saadullah's research interests include Political Economy of Development, Institutional Economics and Public Choice, and International Monetary Economics.
